Tuna is one of my favorite things.  I love it raw, like when I make sushi, and I love it from Subway because it’s salty and delicious and wonderful.

Also, I find it FABULOUS to photograph my food on rocks.

Not really.  We were hiking.  More on that later.

I’ve also never met a body part that smells like tuna, so I don’t get what all the “ewwwww grosssssss” fuss is about, but that’s just me.

Ignore me.

This is a simple, fresh combination of flavors that I think you’ll love.  Let me know what you think!

This is incredibly complicated.  The ingredients below will yield you 4-ish sandwiches.

  • 2 cans tuna
  • 3 tablespoons mayo
  • black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber (drain it on paper towels if you have time!)
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh or dried chopped dill

Dump all the ingredients in a bowl and lightly mix them with a fork.

Once you do an initial mix add more pepper, salt, or mayo if you’d like for a smoother consistency.

Yum!  Don’t be alarmed:  If you make this in advance it’ll get a little watery from the cucumber and onion, so drain that off and move on with your life.  It’s not gross, it’s normal.  Calm down.

Now, go make a sandwich and place it on a rock, then take a picture of it.  Enjoy!
