As you may have seen, yesterday I offered my idea for a super duper easy and healthy and light and delicious and wonderful cookout menu.
Today I’m giving you another plan!
This menu isn’t exaaaactly as healthy, but DAMN is it good.
You could, like, totally mix and match these, by the way.
All the links below will take you to the original posts so you can see full recipes of the dishes I’m talking about.
To have as a snack, make a ton of blue cheese dip and serve it with chips, veggies, crackers…whatever you have on hand!
Barbecue is super delicious, so I’d make a big batch of barbecue sauce and grill any meat you like, then brush it on as you grill! This would go great with grilled chicken, pork chops, or burgers for a fun twist!
I would also most definitely make a massive pan of mac and cheese in advance, then just heat it in the oven until the cheese on top is bubbly and you’re ready to eat it!
Something moderately veggie-related is always nice, so make a big batch of poppyseed slaw too – it’s so delicious!
To prep this, cut the slaw and make the dressing, then toss it together an hour or so before you’re ready to eat it. Easy!
Now, if all that isn’t enough food for you, then you’re insane.
But really. If you’d like to add another option, grab some veggies and potatoes and grill them in big chunks. Brush some melted butter on them as you’re grilling, and go to town!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Enjoy the time off!
Pray for me as we are frantically trying to organize our house in time for a guest on Sunday night, too.
Please and thank you.
