Last week Louisa, Jay’s mom’s dog, came to stay with us.
She’s really stinking cute.
The cuteness offsets the fact that she’s a puppy and not exaaaactly house trained.
She gave it a good faith effort, though.

Remember when we went to Broad Street Cafe awhile ago in Durham and ate edamame hummus and died of happiness?
I done made it at home.
For realzies. The edamame, besides adding lots of great nutrition, offer a really light texture to the hummus that you don’t get with an all-bean version.
I PROMISE you’ll love this. Give it a whirl ASAP!

Yum.
Before you start a weekend of unhealthy binge – consumption (what? me? YES, you), why not have a lighter meal tonight with lots of veggies and a fabulously flavorful sauce?
Ok, let’s do that.

If you’re like me, though, sometimes you’re really tired on Wednesday nights after school because you had comics stay with you for the past two days and you were up both nights past midnight which you never ever ever do and it was definitely their fault that you have consumed BOTTLES of wine so far this week and it’s only Wednesday.
Anyway.
If you’re feeling THAT kind of tired, here’s a fast an easy plan for dinner tonight.

I just had a thought (write it down!).
Why do, sometimes, we say oven-roasted? In our culture, how else does anyone roast things?
I get that in other cooking methods in other parts of the world roasting takes many forms, but … here? I just have the oven.
Anyway.
These are easy and healthy and wonderful and cute!
Sometimes, I skewer them when I cater, too.
You don’t have to, though! You can just eat these as part of a regular meal like a regular person.
I wish SO BADLY that I was regular.
I ain’t.
Anyway.

You know spinach artichoke dip?
This is like that.
Minus any mayo.
Plus garlic.
You’re welcome!
We made these a few weeks ago for my sister Olivia’s girlfriend Katie’s graduation party, which was super duper fun and also involved grilled tofu because Katie’s a weird vegetarian and I’m a weird lover of non-meat foods.
These were delicious!
