We got a new grill this week.
So, I’m tellin’ ya about some grillin’ stuff!
You’re welcome. It’s nice that we feel this closeness I think.
So, you know how at weddings and hotel-catered events one of the items is ALWAYS some kind of sliced beef product with a horseradish-y sauce?
This is like that.
But WAY better.
It’s easy, too!
Here’s what you need:
- Steak – your choice!
- 8 oz sour cream
- 2 oz prepared grated horseradish
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Nom. This isn’t a recipe. I’m being lame, sorry.
So, you mix the sour cream, horseradish, salt, and Worcestershire all together, and let it sit. You can do this a few days in advance, or right before you serve! The flavors do meld nicely once the sauce has been sitting awhile, so go the advance route if you have time!
Now, for the steak, I prefer to add lots of coarse salt and pepper to the outside, then grill it for 3 minutes or so on each side until it’s medium rare.
Then, let it sit for 10 minutes, thinly slice it, and drizzle it with the horseradish cream.
You could serve this anyway you like, though! Steak sandwiches, as a sauce on hamburger…you name it. The beef-horseradish flavor combination is really nice.
You could also dollop a huge amount of horseradish cream over a whole steak and take a bite on the cutting board….but only if you want to be just like me.
