Ha. Just kidding.
There was no dirty version.
Just, you know, the fact that I live with someone who thinks boobies are the funniest thing on earth….everything some how ends up dirty.
Not pesto, though! Pesto is clean, fresh, and lovely, and there is SO MUCH you can do with it. Click the links below for some ideas!
Things to do with pesto (click here for the original recipe, or grab a jar of your favorite kind!):
- Make pasta
- Make salad dressing: combine 2 tablespoons pesto with the juice of one lemon and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Shake or whisk and taste: add salt, pepper, or a splash of water if you’d like.
- Make dip: combine 2 tablespoons pesto with 1/4 cup each sour cream and mayo and a sprinkle of salt. Stir. Taste. Die.
- Spread on the inside of grilled cheese (or this tuna melt) and grill as usual with your favorite melting cheese and some sundried tomatoes.
- Drizzle over veggies: Heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. When it just begins to foam and bubble, stir in 1/4 cup white wine and let it reduce by half. Turn off the heat and whisk in 2 tablespoons prepared pesto. Asparagus sauce, anyone?
What else could we do with this perfect, lovely little concoction?
