 I have told you that my beloved recently took a new job – correct?

It’s a great new job.  He’s getting really good at it, but there’s definitely a learning curve, as exists with tons of new jobs.  He’s been away for work 2/4 of the last weeks, so I’m GLAD to have him home.  
 
One challenge we’ve found with Jay working at home that when 1. I walk in, 2. the dogs breathe, 3. someone knocks on the door, he’s interrupted.  He does a ton of conference calling, and needed a good, albeit dorky, headset to block out some of the regular house noise.
 
So I bought him one.
 
And then we had the following conversation:

Sorry, guys.

I’ve told you before that I love me some David Thorne.

He’s hilarious, sarcastic, vulgar, and totally on point with most of his social commentary.

This article, though, is hilarious.  They all are, and I encourage you to not work at all today and read every single article on his website.

BUT if you don’t have time for that, click here, and read this.  You’ll die.  It cracks me up to know that other people fight about total nothingness like we never do.

In honor of our friend Rory and his pretty fiance Jordan coming into town tomorrow for a show (he’s pretty famous.  you should know who he is), I totally need to tell you about the last time we went to see him perform in Charlotte and ate at this weird little grocery-store-deli-bar place for brunch.

It was weird.

But great.

But totally weird.

We ate at The Common Market in Charlotte, NC, and it was totally the type of place my partially hippi-fied manfriend loves to check out.

For the Love of Dog

….we (not me) built a fence.

….we bought a house with a backyard perfect for pooping in.

….we ignore water being dumped on our floor every day (don’t ask – a certain male dog has learned to pick up and invert the water bowl before carrying it into another room).

…we break “no dogs on the couch” rules.

…we clean up projectile diarrhea…

….and vomit.

What do you do that would constitute as madness if someone said “wait, you’re pretending like this animal who can learn based on reward but not master any actual intelligence is a person with thoughts who loves you and you let him SHIT ON THE FLOOR?”

It’s worth it.
