Happy Friday! FINALLY, right? I have this thing where the weeks leading up to the holidays are just….LONG, in my brain, and then suddenly YAY! Lots of short weeks in a row! I’m ready for the short weeks to start NOW, please and thank you. For the weekend, let’s make an appetizer, ok? This is REALLY simple, but incredibly delicious. Once you master the basic roasted garlic paste you can add herbs, cheese, or anything you can think of to the crostini! …
It’s a meal! A whole meal.
It’s got protein, starch, and veggies.
Also. It tastes good.
I made this a few Fridays ago for my family – they came to have dinner with us and I didn’t feel like going to the grocery store because I’m an ass. Sorry, but it’s true!
No? It’s just me.
This is one of my favorite things to make for the weekend – what could possibly be better than a cozy steakhouse meal that involves ROASTED GARLIC? Seriously. Nothing.
It’s true! I also went to the farmers’ market, so I have tons of fresh veggies that I’ll be cooking this week to offset the beer and tailgate food I consumed this weekend!
This is one of my favorite ways to prepare veggies as a side dish – by roasting them, their flavor intensifies and you don’t need to add any fat or cheese (not that I have any problems with that) to have something really delicious!
